INT 113 Milestone Two: Country-Specific Business Conditions Presentation
Prepare a presentation describing the current general business conditions and infrastructure for business for the country that you have chosen for your final project. Use the cultural iceberg information in Chapter 4 (page 87) of the textbook and The Hofstede Centre as information sources. Provide additional information from other sources. Use GlobalEDGE and your own research and a country-specific cultural website. YouTube is also a good resource for cultural information, especially for music. Useful information for institutional infrastructure can be found at The World Factbook, Doing Business, and XE.com.
Your presentation for Milestone Two should include the following information:
1. Find cultural aspects for each of the following and discuss how these affect business conditions in the specific country:
1.1.1.High Culture – Literature and classical music
1.1.2.Folk Culture – Religion, popular music, diet, dress, and holidays
1.1.3.Social Culture – Gender roles, greeting rituals, power distance, nonverbal communication, individualism vs. collectivism, and uncertainty
