Guidelines for Scholarly Paper
Topic: Select a topic from the ones listed. Develop your scholarly paper using peer-reviewed journal articles and other reliable resources. Consider the framework of MAP-IT and the assessment /planning/ evaluation model in the PHNAT tool. Your paper should demonstrate evidence of your use of the tool and the MAP-IT process.

Required information:

Briefly describe why it is of interest to professional public health nursing. Describe relevant current situations to support the need for the proposed program.
What data would you need to plan an effective intervention?
Who is your target population?
Who are your community partners and why? How the coalition would (includes identified community partners) determine what type of program would be most appropriate for the issue identified considering the population in need.
Identify your specific intervention – must be within the scope of professional nursing practice.
What are the vision, mission, and goals? Briefly describe the program or intervention.
What type evidence would the coalition look for to determine if the intervention they wish to implement is based on the best available evidence? Describe the evidence.
How would the coalition implement the program? What type of resources are needed, what type of data would they collect to measure effectiveness?
How would they evaluate the achievement of goals, and how would they know that their vision/goal is reached? What are the specific measurements to ascertain achievement of the program? Be sure to address the role for the public health/ community health nurse.
Length of paper should be sufficient to cover the information. Must follow APA format and style/clarity guidelines in APA manual 6th Ed.
