CULMINATING ASSIGNMENT: OBSERVATION PAPER

Purpose: The purpose of the observation paper is to have the opportunity to observe a professional in the field of physical education, exercise science, or sport studies. Preferably the observation will be in a setting that you plan to enter upon graduation. This observation should give insight into what activities occur in this profession on a daily basis.

Send an e-mail to me to state who you plan to observe and where this professional is located. Student must receive approval from the instructor before completing the worksite observation.

Task: A. Observe for at least 3 hours, a professional in the field of your choice that is connected to physical education, exercise science, or sport studies. The observation should take place in a normal work setting for the professional and be an in person observation. Please attach a business card and contact information for the person you have observed.

B. Fill out the answers below and create an essay style response, you can also do a video interview that covers all these topics below. I can open .wav file types.

Describe the title, job responsibilities, work hours, salary range and opportunities for advancement and promotion, of the professional you observed.
What types of training, education, and/or certifications are required for the position?
Discuss your anticipated expectations before you observed this professional and describe the impact of this observation on your expectations of this career.
