Write a 1-2 paragraph summary of the film. Think about it from a big-picture perspective and identify 2-3 of the main ideas.
Many universities claim to be safe and even free of sexual assault yet that seems to be at odds with the reality. What forces are influencing universities to discourage the reporting of sexual assault?
As stated in the documentary, the percentage of false sexual assault reports is between 2% and 8% which means that 92-98% of all victim/survivors who report sexual assault are telling the truth. Yet the figures of expulsions or severe disciplinary actions taken by universities against accused perpetrators is less than 1%. Additionally, many comments expressed by members of the general public in the documentary were critical of the survivor and sympathetic towards the accused perpetrator. How do you feel about this? Use specific examples in the documentary to support your position.
React to the film overall – Describe something that shocked, angered, or saddened you and explain why. This should be at least 2 full paragraphs – critically think!
If you absolutely cannot watch the film, e-mail your assigned GTA (via Canvas) for an alternate assignment. Keep in mind the alternate assignment will still be focused on the documentary – but instead of having to watch it, you will be reading controversial news/media pieces about it.
