In chapter 7, on page 249 there is a Leadership Grid describing types of management, organized by concern for people and concern for results. Without naming the company, describe a place where you (or a family member/friend) work or worked in terms of this grid. Where does the company fall in the grid? Provide specific examples of decisions made by the company that demonstrate why it should be placed at a point on the grid.

These skills were: (a) Building Credibility, (b) Communication, (c) Listening, (d) Assertiveness, (e) Conducting Meetings, (f) Effective Stress Management, (g) Problem solving, and (h) Improving creativity. Although you might not engage in all of these activities at work or in school, choose four of the eight skills that you believe are most important, and discuss how you personally improve these skills for effective leadership development. Your response should be approximately 100 to 300 words.

Why should a service organization worry about being world class if it does not compete outside its own national border? What impact does the Internet have on this?
