The course project requires you to select and apply a family therapy approach to address a specific problem or issue that might prompt a couple or family to seek counseling. In presenting the therapy approach, you need to provide supporting theoretical or conceptual frameworks by using empirical research literature related to family therapy. The Theology of Family Ministry Integrative Strategy papers are divided into two parts. Previously, you started a detailed outline for Part A. Expand upon this Part A outline to complete the section. As a reminder, in Part A, you will select and apply a family therapy approach while addressing a specific problem or issue that might prompt a couple or family to seek counseling. In presenting the therapy approach, you will need to provide supporting theoretical or conceptual framework (s) by using empirical research literature related to family therapy.
Part B involves information obtained during an interview with a Christian counselor who currently engages in individual, family, and/or couple’s counseling. Please incorporate research in your paper and cite the literature using Turabian style. Final deliverable for both papers, Part A and Part B, should be 2,475 words.

Part B: Theology of Family Ministry Interview and Reaction
Write a reaction paper of 650 words, comparing and contrasting your personal theology for family or couples’ counseling to that of your interviewee. Your interview reactions will be attached to the end of the integrative Strategy Paper as a Microsoft Word document.
Preinterview
Schedule and conduct a semi-structured interview with an existing Christian counselor using the questions below. The interview may be done face to face or through Skype or a phone call. Keep the following points in mind:
. Schedule at least 60 minutes for the meeting with your interviewee. Make sure the day and the date are understood.
. Request permission to take notes or record the interview and share it with the class. The recording will help as you listen again to the conversation prior to writing the summary. Prepare to take notes during the session.
This will help you formulate your responses. You are free to expand upon the conversations with additional questions, as relevant, but be respectful of the time that was established. Retain a professional level of respect in all communications.
. Review the questions for the interview carefully and, if possible, connect and share the questions with interviewees prior to the actual meeting.
Interview Questions:
. How is the counseling program or ministry incorporated into the church or organization?
. How long have you been providing Christian counseling or family therapy?
. Do you provide premarital counseling, marriage counseling, and family counseling?
. What is your personal theology for family or couples counseling?
. What spiritual disciplines do you practice regularly to remain effective as a Christian counselor?
. How do you go about guiding couples and families toward developing their own theology when dealing with problems or while in crisis?
Utilize at least six sources from professional literature in your research. Professional literature may include relevant textbooks; peer-reviewed journal articles; and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (.org or gov. ).
